Jungle Buddies Birthday Cake

This is a birthday cake I made for my friend's son.  He turned 8 this week.  He picked the animals out of his own collection with strict instructions of where he wanted them placed.  He must have like it since it would not leave it to go skating at his own skating party!

Kathy's Birthday

Last week was Kathy's Birthday! (Kathy is my father in laws girlfriend)  I thought I would make her a cake and learn to make roses.  After a lot of practice and remaking a ton of roses I finally got the hang of it.  She loved the cake but most imprtantly she loved the surprise birthday party!

Baby Shower Cake

My first attempt at fondant work was for a baby shower cake for my friend, Natalie, that I work with.

Her theme for the baby's room is jungle animals.  I couldn't think of a better cake for her!

The animals were a fun challenge to make.  I think my favorite is the giraffe!
